IP Address Management
This chapter includes the following topics:
Connecting to a local IP network
To connect the Pipeline to your local IP network, you need to assign the Pipeline
Ethernet interface an IP address. In addition, you might want to perform one or
more of the following tasks:
Enable proxy ARP to let the Pipeline respond to ARP requests for remote
nodes.
Configure DNS or WINS information to enable users to Telnet in using host
names.
Configure the Pipeline to generate UDP checksums.
Update other IP routers on the backbone.
